Ofa Bamberg donates to charitable organisations
As part of its annual fundraising campaign, Ofa Bamberg supported various organisations with a cash donation. One donation went to Wings for Nepal e.V. - an organisation in which an employee is involved.
With its annual fundraising campaign, Ofa Bamberg wants to fulfil its social and societal responsibility and think of those affected by poverty or illness at Christmas. Traditionally, each of the company's sites and divisions selects a charitable organisation for its donation. Employees can submit suggestions. An international project is also selected: The organisation Wings of Nepal e.V., in which our employee Verena Thomann from Ofa's Orthopaedics Product Management is involved on the board.
The organisation helps young people in Nepal to develop career prospects and supports them on their way to a self-determined future. Accommodation, meals, training and further education are supported. Originally started as a private initiative after the severe earthquake in Nepal in 2015, a non-profit organisation was founded at the beginning of 2017, which currently supports 16 young people. We are delighted about this extraordinary social commitment by our employee and are happy to support the work of the organisation with our donation.

- Austria: Österreichische Krebshilfe, purpose: Help for breast cancer patients.
- Glauchau: Erziehungsförderverein e.V., which looks after a total of 53 children and young people in day and residential groups.
- BELSANA: Apotheker helfen e.V., which has set itself the task of improving healthcare for people in need worldwide.
- NEA International: Liliane Foundation, which campaigns for equal rights and opportunities for children with disabilities.
